Harrogate Winter Weather | Information Event | Boroughbridge

Monday, 28 April 2014 - 2:30pm - 6:00pm

Coronation Hall, Boroughbridge, YO51 9BL.

This free event is aimed at rural communities that have problems with adverse winter weather. When it snows, are people in your community not able to get to the local shops? Does your community feel isolated? Are there people who are completely cut off? This event will help you combat these problems.

We have the Senior Emergency Planning Officer from North Yorkshire county council (Robin Derry), the Emergency Planning Manager from Harrogate Borough Council (Ian Speirs) and the Community Defibrillation Trainer form Yorkshire Ambulance Service (Linda Milsom) all here to help you think about and set up your Winter Weather Action plan. We also have Boroughbridge Emergency Planning Group (John Helliwell) coming to tell us about their successful Winter Weather Action plan. This is an interactive and practical session where there will be time not only to hear from the speakers but also to talk to them and get their advice on your specific situation.

The event will be held at Coronation Hall in Boroughbridge, YO51 9BL on the 28th April with registration starting at 2:30pm and the event running until 6pm. There will be a free buffet provided and all travel expenses paid.

To book please call 0845 313 0270 or email info@ruralyorkshire.org.uk, please state any dietary requirements.
