Rural Action Yorkshire provides rural communities with local training and we’ve just added some dates near you.
All Saint’s Centre, South Kirby – 18 January 2012
Wentworth Mechanics Institute – 8 February 2012
Kiveton Park and Wales Village Hall – 29 February 2012
6.30pm – 8.30pm
Come and find out what you need to know about Community-led Plans (previously referred to as Parish Plans).
You need to attend this training now that:
· There are increased challenges such as cuts to services due to the constraints in public spending.
· There are lots of changes happening. The Government aims to devolve power to a more local level to make them more responsive to local community needs.
· There’s the Localism Bill, Communities’ Right to Buy and Right to Challenge.
This training event is suitable for those who have never done a Community-led Plan before, but also those wishing to refresh an existing plan.
It’s aimed at anyone wanting to get their village engaged: we’ll show you how.
This event is not about Neighbourhood Plans, but we will explain the difference.
Places cost £15 per delegate for RAY members and £25 per delegate for non- members. However, if your parish or town council is within Rotherham MBC, the event is free of charge due to funding received from the Council.
