Barnsley- Localism Workshop

As part of the South Yorkshire Rural Network, Rural Action Yorkshire is organising a local talk and discussion for Barnsley groups to find out more about the Localism Act and how this might affect rural communities. 

The talk will be aimed at individuals, groups and Parish Councillors.
 
Information will cover:
- Brief introduction to the main aims of the Localism Act
- Overview of Community Rights - Community Right to Build, Community Right to Challenge
- Introduction to Neighbourhood Planning
- Affordable housing in rural areas
- Overview of the Community Infrastructure Levy
 
Following the talk and discussion, there will also be opportunity for you ask questions about your individual project.

You can also meet and network with other groups like yours.
 
Our network meetings and talks are free of charge, although we do need all attendees to book inadvance, by phone or email. 
Your organisation can send as many representatives as it likes.
