Celebrating Rural Life | Eppleby, Richmondshire

This event is open to all and will be a celebration of rural life, activities and skills. There will be loads of interesting skills and information on display, and even the chance to get involved in learning new things yourself. Why not come along and try something new or even start a new hobby? Entry to the event is FREE, and there will be refreshments, produce and crafts for sale on the day.

Rural Solutions for Living Well with Disability

This event aims to raise awareness of disability solutions to residents of rural communities and support older people in accessing the right types of aid.

Anyone with a disability is welcome along though solutions will be focused on sight, hearing, wellbeing, safety, mobility aids and health checks.

Community Friendly Buildings Showcase Event | Middleton, near Pickering

The hall has limited car parking to the rear, and on-street parking is available nearby. Middleton is on the main A170 road between Thirsk, Helmsley, Pickering and Scarborough; Middleton is about 2 miles west of Pickering. Middleton is on the route of the 128 bus which runs regularly between Helmsley and Scarborough.

This event is being organised by RAY as part of our Community Friendly Buildings Project, which helps community buildings develop new service and project ideas that will help them reach new audiences in their local community, by making their building more accessible to those local people who are older and may be vulnerable or at risk of social isolation. Some of the emphasis of the project is on making community buildings and activities accessible to those living with dementia.
