Your Stories

Your Stories inspired by the 52 Things campaign

Since the launch of #52Things in February 2015 you have already been telling us about some of the great ideas you have set up in your communities, or let us know how the campaign has spoken to you and other volunteers.

It is with delight that we have received feedback from committees and individuals who are responsible for activities and projects in their communities. These have ranged from 'supper nights' at the local pub, to travelling music and arts festivals, to history groups and campaigns. 52 Things has been shared far and wide across Yorkshire and is demonstrating what can be achieved when we pull together.

Don't forget that you can seek help from RAY to get your ideas off the ground - just call us on 0845 313 0270 and we will go from there.

In the meantime, our sister organisation in Cumbria has created this great toolkit for getting community activities and enterprises off the ground, which takes you through all of the stages as well as being food for thought for a range of ideas. These ideas include: running a community cafe, complementary therapies, jigsaw libraries and providing Internet access.

Have you got a story to tell us on the back of the campaign? Maybe you'd like to share with us more information about what you are doing? Have we forgotten an idea in #52Things that you'd like to shout about?

Send your stories to Candice at candice.dowson@ruralyorkshire.org.uk or give her a call on 0845 313 0270 and share your story today with Yorkshire.
